About

About Me... Lyn Gallagher
After a lifetime as an art lover, at 40 years old I took the plunge and studied sculpture for 4 years. I obtained a B.A. Hons in Fine Art at Portsmouth University in Hampshire. Most weekdays I am in my Workshop creating ceramics that are inspired by Anglesey.   The ceramics I create reflect the history, wildlife and landscape of this wonderful island. I love the raw colour of clay so use terracotta, black, and neutral clays with a minimum amount of coloured glazes to make my pieces.
I have been teaching ceramics for 10 years to groups of all ages and abilities including schools, college students, adults with extra needs, autistic students, the partially sighted, those living with dementia, and my particular favourite, Arts award projects. Along the way I have also enjoyed co-ordinating large and small community projects, working with private business, local council, museums, charities, minority groups and the public.
